Meeting Notes

Etchings Intaglio print: Lines are scraped into a plate or eaten into the plate with acid. Then the plate is inked and the surface wiped clean. Dampened paper is pressed into the lines, picking up the ink.
Lithographs Planographic print: The image is drawn on a plate or stone and then the surface is treated so that the image area accepts ink and the other parts of the plate reject ink.
Monotypes Monotypes and Monoprints: An image is painted on a smooth or treated plate and printed on paper or fabric. Each printing is unique.
